Description
The Glass Chest is inspired by following poem from Casey Lechner. It’s been a dream to translate these delicate words into silver!
What if your chest was clear like glass
and we could watch all your feelings float past?
And what if your heart grew big like a tree
then people would see
how loving you’d be.
From the chest multiple silver poppies bloom! They are evanescent flowers and it’s impossible to keep them because they whiter once picked. Poppies can only be loved from the place they root. A sparkling Opal represents the beating heart of this piece, spreading its magical light through the breaches of the ribcage.
This design is handmade out of fine silver, sterling silver and a touch of 14k gold. It hangs from a 50cm/20″ facetted rolo necklace.
FOR THE LOVE OF…
This brand new collection will be a mix of previously seen and new designs! A true passion project that will highlight different art forms, my love for tools, poppies and lots of Garnets! Each piece will tell its own story, translated in silver and adorned with brilliant gems.
