The Dog Star Ring
Sirius is the brightest star in the night sky. It follows the constellation of Orion and it was named after his loyal hunting hound. It’s nickname is the ‘Dog Star’ and it rises alongside the sun, in late July. The Greek believed the heat from the two stars combined is what caused the hottest days of the year, also known as ‘Dog Days’.
Many moons I have swooned over these Montana Agate hearts. The swirly pattern within the stone remind me of a Nebula. Warm toned and powerful. It was only fitting to add them to the Stardust collection as the Dog Star Rings.
STARDUST
“If you came to me with a face I have not seen, with a name I have never heard, I would still know you. Even if centuries separated us, I would still feel you. Somewhere between the sand and the stardust, through every collapse and creation, there is a pulse that echoes of you and I.
When we leave this world, we give up all our possessions and our memories. Love is the only thing we take with us. It is all we carry from one life to the next.”
