The La Cosecha design is a coffin shaped shrine adorned with a collection of oddities. You may see it as a gathering of harvested fruits from past works so to speak! Each artifact carries symbolic meaning. Firstly, the skull is a reminder to live a full life and the rose speaks of love, but with caution! The Moth, especially as a spirit animal, embodies determination, attraction and faith. Lastly I want to shed some light on the small drop garnet which symbolises a pomegranate seed. This refers to the Greek mytholgy of Persephone and her decent to the underworld which caused the changing of seasons on earth. Toghether they create a powerhouse storyteller, featuring a delicious black onyx.
The bright autumnal colours and the arrival of the growing darkness, spark little ambers within me. The coziness within the home and the desire to drizzle our lives warmth and light inspired me to create this new collection called La Cosecha (The Harvest).
The past few months I bowed my head over all the designs I made over the past year(s) to gather elements that spoke to me. These exiting finds came together as never before seen pieces and some designs are brought back to life!
These jewels carry you through the dark and colder days as they are fueled by fire and made with love.
